Its new Quick mode is great because it frees memory without much effect on the perormance of the other apps while the freeing is beeing done.

I dont think that the app itself can free memory for the operating system, because that would be illegal.

Instead, it appears that it tricks the operating system to do it by claiming a biggest possible chunk of memory for itself and forcing the operating system to re-arrange the rest of the memory in order to accomodate the need of this app.

This is why when this process is being done (not in the quick mode), the whole computer becomes sluggish.

Anyway, its really a great app to have and I think it should be used occaisonally by anyone with a Mac.

However, the app has also shown itself to becoming a bit of a nuisance while in use.

The app would incessantly notify me that it would start the cleaning process and ask me if I want to go forward with it.

Not even a minute would pass me by, before the dialog box would pop up.

The Developer needs to really think it through before releasing the app for distribution.

There should be a feature that turns off dialog box, like a check box.

The app should be clearing memory automatically in the background, when it detects your memory has gone down to a certain set amount that you had set it at.

I do hope the developer would release an update or a pro version that has that feature on it in the future, because I would love to use this app once again.

Even with 8GB of RAM in my 1 year old MacBook Pro, Final Cut Pro X starts eating through it pretty quickly.

No more restarting or closingreopening - just clean the memory and free it up after 30 seconds to a minute.

Love it. I also love running it straight from the menu bar (hidden in the dock) with just the Usage Chart displaying - its a clean and helpful interface.

Cleaning mid-render or at other times can cause instability in certain apps.

That aside though, this has already proven to be a HUGE help.
